Another work week comes to a close...
Well... It's an hour until I'm off for the weekend, and I'm damn sure ready for it. This will count a full work week that I've been attack free, and I couldn't be more pleased about that. It's also drawing close to a month that I've been weed free, and I'm feelin pretty good about that too. I won't lie and say I don't miss it, but I really do feel as though I'm better off without it. I'm certainly a better person without it. No more of the grouchy mood swings when I don't have it. No more of the spending money I really shouldn't just to make sure I do. These are changes for the better, and I'm glad that it's happened, even if the circumstances that forced it were less than pleasant. Also gone are the beans and the acid. Only the occasional drink, and that's pretty much limited to a couple beers. Now my days are filled with finding other things to do instead. Playing my guitar or reading or hopefully soon, drawing again. Infact, I've got a commission (unpaid, but hey, that's my life!) to work on, so I better get started. All in all, being sober is becoming a good thing, not a bad one. Good times!

I'm still considering going to school, and pretty soon I'm about to start looking into student loans or grants so I can do as such. I've decided I'm going to study for either pharmacy or xray technician, as I know both would be good money and a noble profession at that.

It's gonna be in the low to mid 70's today, so says the weather reports. Yay! I'm sick of the chilly weather. Time to get back to the toasty summers I love so much. Then I can get outside more. Get more active. Go to the beach and assorted silliness like that.

Well, I'm gonna go for now... Think I'll try and sketch a little bit. I feel the juices flowin, and they say "Draw, you bitch ass, draw!!" I leave you with this quote of the day, care of Gladiator.

MAXIMUS: "Cicero... Do you ever find it hard to do your duty?"

CICERO: "Some of the time... I do what I want to do. The rest of the time... I do what I have to."

    I'm out, bitches!

    G'night, sweet pimps...
I'm going to bed now, yay! Time to sleep to my television. Good times! And good night.
    3:36 pm
    Drumroll please...
I now have cable! It's only 3:37 in the damn afternoon, but he's finally finished. Now I can pay him and send him on his happy ass way so I can atleast nab a few hours of sleep before my last night of work before the weekend. Then it's 2 days of doing absolutely shit. Yay! That is all.
    1:05 pm
    The genius of others...
So the cable guy is scheduled to get here between 8am and 11am. No sweat, right? I'm layin on the bed, and who should come to visit the James, but Buki herself. She climbs right up on my chest and snuggles up. I pet her a little, she purrs like you wouldn't believe, and 20 minutes later, we're both sleeping snug as a bug in a rug. I awaken around 11:45 to the lovey-dovey-mush-mouth bitches doing their little goodbye routine, and I check the clock. No cable guy yet. So I call up the cable company, and they say they'll check on the tech and call me right back. Within 5 minutes, they call and say the tech will be there within the next 5 minutes, which, sure enough, he is. Now it's about noon. He comes in, surveys what's to be done, tells me the game plan, goes outside, comes back, knocks on the door and says "I've done the unthinkable. Can I use your phone? I've locked my keys in the truck and I can't get to my tools." Fucking brilliant! It's now 1:08pm, and he's still out there, waiting for the locksmith guy. Cuttin in to my sleep time, damnit! Atleast I got a few hours before he showed up, but still... This is ridiculous. Sadly, he's a nice enough guy and people do make mistakes, so I ain't givin him any shit. Just buggin me a little cuz this should've been an easy in-and-out job. Now it's dragging on into an afternoon excursion. Help me Jebus. That is all.
    3:55 am
    Yizzo, my nizzo's!
It's (can you believe it?!) me again! It's now two hours away from time to get the fuck up outta here and once again, I'm so ready to go, I feel like I'm already gone. Dave had his fuckin baby (Well Erin had it. Dave just freaked out, took an un-named medication and passed the hell out for a while), and everything is right with the world for atleast a day.

Today was a crazy one... Sleep got all jacked up. Got off work and went by the [info]super_dave's house, to play some Ninja Gaiden, and lo and freakin behold, it were not der! I wanted to choke someone, but I didn't. I just silently cursed the day he was born and then went on about sitting there sippin my soda. Talked with Dave and Erin for a bit, scratched off my lottery tickets and saw that I won back half of the 20 bucks I spent on the tickets. (note to self. Make sure you know the price of the ticket before you say "two of those please!". 10 bucks a ticket is too damned much!!) Then it was back home by around 7:05. Joked around with [info]thejekyll and [info]yes_that_tonya for a little bit, before hopping on the guitar and wailing for a while. Wailing means strumming and picking pathetically. After the house cleared out, I played a little more and then ate some breakfast and readied myself for sleepy-times. Finally got to sleep around 9:30 or 10am, and woke back up around 2pm. Then it was flip-the-channels time for a sec, to find something better to sleep to. Then I finally got back to sleep around 2:30 or 3pm, only to wake up around 3:30pm to [info]bunnynicula calling to see if she could bum a ride because her ear was killing her. Ofcourse, I couldn't say no, so it was up and off to deliver her to the emergency room. We got there around 4pm, and I sat with her til they took her back around 4:45pm. Then it was head-back-home-thru-shitty-traffic time, where I arrived around 5:15pm. Then I ate some more, and chatted with [info]yes_that_tonya for a bit until she had to go pick up her sis from the day-care type place. Luckily, Tonya offered to pick up Brandy from the hospital when she called back, so I could get a little more sleep. As she was pulling up, Brandy called, and I let her know Tonya was on the way. Ro begged not to have to go, and after seeking my approval, she went off to watch Tank Girl and Tonya took off to gather up the sicky-chicky. From there, I laid back down around 6pm, tossed and turned and listened to King of the Hill and The Simpsons til I finally fell back asleep around 7:30pm. Then it was back up at 8:30pm so I could grab a quick bite at Wendy's and drive my happy ass to work by 9pm, where I've been ever since. Needless to say, I'm a little tired, but all in all, it was for a good cause, so I can't complain. Now when it's finally time to go, I get to go get some breakfast, and patiently wait for the cable guy to come install my pipeline to the world of mindless entertainment. Good times!

Still ain't drawn shit! I need to get crackin on that junk. It's gonna happen soon, I can feel it. Just ain't happened yet. C'mon James! Get busy or perish!

A special thanks to [info]thejekyll for his submission to our story. Go check out [info]all_of_us and see what he's done to help our wonderful epic along! Next up, [info]patrickeon. Do us proud, my man!

Alright... I'm going for now. I leave you with this quote of the day, care of Free Enterprise.

YOUNG ROBERT: "But what about that time when Kirk fought the Gorn? That giant lizard monster was three times as big as him!"

BILL: "My boy, that was a TV show. I used a stunt double. I always use a stunt double. Except in love scenes. I insist on doing those myself."

    A few words...
Well another night of work almost completed. Oh so ready to get the hell outta here. Haven't had an attack, but have felt funny here and there, and I hate it. Still have that tingling in my left hand, and the occasional pain in my left arm. WebMD says it's prolly Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but ofcourse, can't be sure without seeing a doctor. I'm afraid to call my doctor because I don't wanna be one of those people that always seem sick but never really are. The symptoms are real to me, but what if there's no reason for them besides me being crazy? Sometimes it just sucks being the James.

Damn car still making that stupid noise. No idea what it really is, but my pops expects it's the catalytic converter... If I don't get it fixed soon, it could lead to poor engine performance, loss in acceleration, and eventually, the car could stop going altogether. That's IF it's clogged. If it's got a hole in it, then it's just a noisy annoyance for now. Not sure of the long-term effects that could have on my car, but either way, I'd like to get that fixed asap. Also need to get my transmission fluid changed, as it's something like 5 years overdue, and would still like that fuel problem taken care of.

What's up with the suddenly-chilly weather? Don't the weather man know I'm too skinny for all that craps? I guess me and him gonna have to have a little talk, Sopranos-style.

Got a little story for ya! Love sucks. The End.

Well... Sober living is becoming more and more liveable, though there are still times where I'd kill a baby seal just for a good doobie. Ofcourse, I'm afraid to try it, cuz I might have an attack, and it's better to be sober than go thru that shit again.

I can eat greens, yo!! My boy [info]thejekyll whipped up some greens with bacon (or is it fat-back? hehehe) in it, and that shit was actually pretty good! When I was younger, all greens served to do for me was make me gag, feel sick, and disgust everyone at the dinner table. Now I can eat em, and actually kinda enjoy em! Thanks, Mark! And thanks for all the rest of the good eats too. Haven't gotten to the steak and mashed potatos yet, but I'm sure they're just as good as the rest of it. (greens, cornbread, strawberry shortcake!) I think I'll make them my breakfast! Good times!

Damnit! I just did my boss's 5:30am wakeup call, and she asked if I could come in at 9pm, cuz one of my co-workers called out. Ofcourse, I said yes. ARGH, I say!!! Atleast my paycheck will be (marginally) bigger.

Well... I guess I'm gonna go ahead and go for now... try and find a way to piss away the last 30 minutes of my long and tedious night. I leave you with this final quote (or song, more accurately), courtesy of Shrek.

Welcome to Dulac, such a perfect town.
Here we have some rules, let us lay them down.
Don't make waves, stay in line, and we'll get along fine, Dulac is a perfect place!

Heh... heh... in light of recent events... heh...

    Which Evil Criminal are You?

    Congratulations, you're Elizabeth Bathory!
Hailing from sunny Transylvania, your first blood-related incident was when you stabbed a servant girl in the face with a pair of scissors for underperforming. Some of the red spray landed on your hands, and as you washed it off, you noticed that it left your skin fresh and young looking. From then on you were convinced that the blood of young girls was the secret to eternal youth.
Rather than killing girls outright by stabbing them or slitting their throats, you enjoy torturing them for weeks on end by pricking them with needles or prodding with sharp spikes - all to bathe in their blood. You've killed over six hundred women, all without raising a peep from the authorities.
    5:05 am
    Howdy ya'll...
It's me, back and work, and less than an hour away from blessed escape!! Just as I predicted, because my sleep got a little messed up, I've spent most of the night tired and cranky, but atleast it's almost over now. Also, no attack! Yay! I've had a couple moments where the hand seems tingly, but I dunno if it's related to the anxiety, or if it's something to do with carpal tunel, or arthritis or what, but it's only minor right now, so I'm trying not to stress it at this point.

Me and [info]super_dave were talking earlier after he posted about getting a bike, and I think we've decided we're gonna get mountain bikes and start riding a few times a week. Maybe even hit the bike trails at one of the parks sometime. It'll be good exercise, and god knows I could use a little of that. I've had more than one person in recent months tell me that it looks like I'm losing weight, and if that's true, then I need to start doing something to tighten these muscles back up. Dunno yet about weight training, but I think I'll prolly start doing that at some point too. When I was going to Tampa every weekend, I was doing it on the weekends at the gym that was in the complex Brandy stayed at, but that's been stopped a long time ago. Maybe I should join a Gym or something. That might be a good thing for me. Either way, gotta start doing more to stay healthy. I know I'm only 25, but it's never too early to get started on staying fit. Also gonna start eating more fruits and veggies. Far too often, I just run to Mickey D's, or Wendy's or some shitty place like that, cuz it costs 2 dollars to get full. Ofcourse, I'm filling up on horse-shit and it's not doing my body good.

Drawing still isn't working for me. I've tried a few times in the past couple weeks and it's a no-go. Friggin sucks, cuz I don't want what I've learned to wither away. On a good note, I should be able to get my hands on some kind of computer within the next few months, and that will be good. Then I can atleast get started on the digital side of things again, and perhaps if I run out of things to paint over (i.e., all my current drawings), then I'll be inspired to start creating more. Good times!

Pretty much all moved into my new place. Gotta do some arranging and get a couple storage-type thingies to put some stuff in, but the room is furnished (atleast for now), and I'm getting cable put in soon so I'll atleast have something to fall asleep to. Sleeping has become difficult to make happen as of late. I mean, I sleep alot, but getting asleep is the hard part. I lay there, wide awake, unhigh, undrunk, thinking or worrying about shit, and finally get too sleep way after I originally intended to. On a weird note, sometimes when I'm right on the cusp of sleep, I feel like I'm slightly rolling for a second, and snap back awake. Then I re-adjust my laying position, and try again. Once that happens, it usually takes about 5 trys to be successful, but atleast once I get to that edge, I know sleep will be there soon.

Well... I guess I'm gonna run along for now. I leave you with this quote of the day, courtesy of Dogma.

JAY: He-he-ha-hah-hah-hah! Holy Bartender, I get it now, that's a great one!!

Alright, bitches! [info]all_of_us is in need of another piece of story, so who's up to the task of writing the third entry in this most enthralling of fantasy epics? Leave a comment, and I'll get you whores started on what is sure to become the greatest story ever told. Fuck all that Bible shit. This is where it's at!! Peace!!

    2. a book
    3. a musical artist, song, or album
    4. a LiveJournal user not on my friends list that's really worth reading
    5. what I should have for dinner
    6. a website
...and put it in a comment. Then put this in your journal. (If you so choose. [info]argentumfeles, this means YOU! Everyone else who wants to can as well, ofcourse, but especially you, cuz yer in the Netherlands. Dunno why it makes ya special damnit, but get on it! hehehe. Later!

taken from [info]jupita and made my own!
    4:47 am
    Back again...
and it's Sunday morning. Gotta be at work tonight, and I'm so not ready to go back. Had an ok time for most of it. Bored alot cuz I couldn't really do anything to entertain myself besides watch movies, TV, or sleep, but atleast it wasn't work. Now the cycle starts again. Hopefully it'll be easier now, as I think the meds are starting to help. I haven't really had an attack in the past week, so that's a good sign. A not so good sign, however, is that my left hand tingles half the time. Not severe... just a slightly noticeable sensation, but still... It's kinda annoying. Hopefully that will balance out too, or else I'll have to go back to the Doctor yet again. More money to pay, and more tests to run, and if they come back saying nothing is wrong, dunno what I'm gonna do then. When I was having those chest pains, I had to pay 60 bucks so he could say "Just give it another couple weeks, and if it gets worse, call me.". That sucks. He could've told me that shit over the phone for free, but nope. How it goes, I guess.

God I'm so bored right now. [info]super_dave is up with a friend watching Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I'm sitting here on the computer not watching it. I called before heading over and no one answered, so I figured I'd hop on the game for a little bit, but don't wanna cut into their movie time, so now I'm just chattin with a friend and trying to decide what to do with the rest of my morning. I think maybe I'll go to GA and get some more stuff for my new place. At some point, I gotta get my TV too, but I think I'm gonna hold off on that for now, as there's already a TV there and I don't have cable put in yet. Alright... I'm gonna go for now... I leave you with a quote from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

WOMAN AT PARTY: "You know what's gonna happen to you? I'm gonna march you right over to the zoo and feed you to the yak... as soon as I finish this drink!" (she then falls flat on her face.)

    Peace!

    The Moon Card
You are the Moon card. Entering the Moon we enter
the intuitive and psychic realms. This is the
stuff dreams are made on. And like dreams the
imagery we find here may inspire us or torment
us. Understanding the moon requires looking
within. Our own bodily rhythms are echoed in
this luminary that circles the earth every
month and reflects the sun in its progress.
Listening to those rhythms may produce visions
and lead you towards insight. The Moon is a
force that has legends attached to it. It
carries with it both romance and insanity.
Moonlight reveals itself as an illusion and it
is only those willing to work with the force of
dreams that are able to withstand this
reflective light. Image from: Stevee Postman.
